This past weekend Ramacafe La Virgen Fine Coffee Estate in Nicaragua opened their school library! Our community is so happy we could partner with providing Spanish reading books for the children.  These children love school and love to read and now they will have books to enjoy when they previously had none. Our customers at El Dorado Coffee & Tea Co. purchased the books when they would come in to get their coffee. Face in a Book Bookstore in El Dorado Hills also donated about 40 books towards the library in Nicaragua. We are excited for the families there to begin a reading adventure!

Back in January, a few us traveled to the mountains of Nicaragua and spent time with this wonderful community during the coffee harvest and summer school. That harvest of coffee is now here in our warehouse and we are excited to be able to drink it with you!

Thank you to everyone who gave their time and money and heart to this effort.
We hope to get them some more books soon!

Building Bridges of Hope
Through Education and Coffee
At El Dorado Roasting Co., we believe education is key to breaking cycles of poverty and building up communities. We have started projects that support the efforts of education locally in our own community and abroad. Our first project overseas is in Nicaragua where we visited this past summer. El Dorado Roasting Co. is partnering with the Hueck family in Nicaragua who have four coffee farms that have great needs in the areas of faith, health and education. They provide free education for the children and adults on the coffee farms and in the surrounding community.
